Moon Merch

This project was created as a collaboration with classmate Sophie Chace as a class final for the Intersections of Art and Science class at Chapman University in the fall of 2019. The work was inspired by multiple visits to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, and based on Jupiter’s four Galilean moons. The finished piece is composed of 12 custom pieces of clothing, which are digitally printed with logos we designed and then hand tie-dyed based on the respective moons’ physical characteristics. The garments were then photographed and compiled into a mock catalogue.
